Five relatives died in a house fire at Geta Market in Kipipiri, Nyandarua County, early Tuesday morning.
The unfortunate casualties were a man, his 35-year-old spouse, their son 12, nine-year-old little girl and three-month-old infant.
Kipipiri divisional police officer Charles Rotich told the Nation that the timber house was demolished from about 3.30am as the five dozed.
He said neighbors hurried to the scene in the wake of hearing commotions and figured out how to put it out.
